Postgraduate Courses:

  • 1) Bachelor's Degree (3 Years): 60% or, more.
  • 2) Bachelor's Degree (4 Years): 55% or, more.

  • 2) IELTS: 6.0 overall no band less than 5.5

Entry requirements

The normal entry route to the course will be through an honors degree in electrical and/or electronic engineering or a related subject area. Applicants offering equivalent professional qualifications and experience will be considered on merit.

Each application will be considered on its merits and the final decision will be made by the course director. For information regarding what might amount to a ‘related subject’ or ‘equivalent qualifications and experience’ please contact postgraduate@coventry.ac.uk

English as a Foreign Language: This course requires IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5. Pre-sessional English is available if required.

Not only is the technical content of the course regularly reviewed to reflect what is currently important and in-demand in the electrical and electronic engineering industry, but we also strive to ensure that the capabilities and skills that the sector regularly asks for are well addressed.

The specialist topics studied on the program aim to prepare you for a wider range of roles in related industries. Possible industries include: electrical power supply generation and distribution including renewables; transport and industrial equipment manufacturers employing electrical drives; electrical vehicles are anticipated to create increased demand in this area; industrial measurement and monitoring systems; robotics and associated activities.
